Alina Residences in Boca Raton is once again bringing the outside in by partnering with Plant the Future.

The biophilic art studio founded in Miami’s Wynwood Arts District has created “Flying Over the Everglades,” a series of 100 natural moss murals and installations. Commissioned by interior designers Garcia Stromberg and Elad National Properties, they will be part of Alina Phase 2.

The design will include an 11-foot-wide by more than 17-foot-high installation in Alina 210’s two-story lobby and in Alina 220 with multiple installations focused mostly on the amenity deck/level.

“Plant the Future’s art installations bring a piece of the ecosystem into various common areas of Alina Residences,” says Noam Ziv, CEO of Elad National Properties. “Our vision for Alina integrates a focus on indoor/outdoor living and wellness, and these installations help to connect the feeling of serenity and peace of the natural world.”

Biophilic design is intended to foster a connection between humans and nature. And in a world of concrete and steel, biophilic design can go a long way to help soothe the soul. In fact, studies have found that having plants indoors can help reduce stress and increase productivity and creativity.

Created by biophilic artist Paloma Teppa of Plant the Future, the murals pay homage to the natural beauty and ecological significance of the Florida Everglades. They serve as a visual representation of the delicate balance between urban living and the preservation of our environment.

Alina Phase 2, located on nine acres along with Phase 1, is expected to be completed by the end of 2024.
