Artechouse In Miami Is An Interactive Art Space For All Ages

Most art destinations adhere to the “look but don’t touch” philosophy.

Not so at Artechouse, Miami Beach’s new interactive spot that encourages participation.

“Whether you are walking on floors that react to your footsteps or manipulating light particles within a giant digital cube, Artechouse encourages visitors to put down their phones and truly connect with unique works of art in a whole new way,” notes its website.

The new media art space – where participation is not only welcome but encouraged – is the perfect place for families, art enthusiasts, locals and out-of-town visitors“to escape the Miami heat and summer showers for a truly unique experience that blurs the line between artist and observer,” according to a press release.

Adds the website: “Artechouse is an American digital gallery and the first-of-a kind innovative art space dedicated to showcasing and producing experiential and technology-driven works by artists who are forerunners of the new age in the arts and technology.”

Its mission?

“To inspire, educate and empower the creation of new, experiential and exploratory art form. With our innovative exhibitions and extensive programs, we connect audiences to the arts and stimulate interest in the limitless possibilities of technology, science and creativity.”

Artechouse’s principal exhibition, “XYZT Abstract Landscapes,” which features 10 interactive installations of immersive storytelling for children and adults, will be on display through Labor Day weekend.

The venue is offering $5 off regular admission for all Florida residents (with ID) through Labor Day.
