Gallery Mavruk In Boca Raton Opens

by

You can never have too many selfie opportunities and now there’s one more – Gallery Mavruk in Boca Raton. The eponymous “Instagrammable Gallery” is the brainchild of resident artist Hulis Mavruk, a self-taught, Turkish-born artist.

The 1,660-square-foot space, with its crisp white walls and bright lighting, makes it the perfect setting for those looking to snap selfies in front of the art that is organized into sections.

Splatter-painted icons including The Notorious B.I.G., Frida Kahlo, Audrey Hepburn and Marilyn Monroe bring colorful pop art life to one area. The Beatles, Amy Winehouse and a pair of Christian Louboutins, in black and white oil paint with pops of red, adorn another. The museum-like space also houses traditional Jewish art, vibrant ocean scenes and psychedelic-inspired pieces.

Mavruk’s art hangs in some well-known TV shows including “Real Housewives of Beverly Hills,” “BarberShop 2,” “Malibu’s Most Wanted” and “3rd Rock From The Sun.”

The gallery is located at 9 Plaza Real South, Suite 119 in Boca Raton. Mavruk also has a gallery in Lynbrook, N.Y.

“We are excited to be a part of the Boca community. It strikes me as a hub of culture and art. I recently found myself shipping artwork to many of my clients in Boca, so the time finally felt right,” he says.
