The 10th Annual South Beach Seafood Festival Comes To Town

by

Attention pescatarians and anyone else who loves seafood.

The 10th Annual South Beach Seafood Festival is back October 19-22 so get crackin’. The festival kicks off Florida’s official stone crab season starting Wednesday with an evening at the iconic seafood restaurant, Joe’s Stone Crab. Although the five-course meal is sold out, there are plenty of other things to do.

Thursday is Crabs, Slabs & Cabs hosted at the newly revamped Kimpton Surfcomber Hotel on 17th and Collins. The meal, as the name suggests, pairs surf and turf (crabs and slabs) with wine (cabs). This event is limited to 150 guests.

Friday is the VIP Chef Showdown at Lummus Park where 14 chefs will go head-to-head in seven seafood showdowns. Guests can sip, sample and vote on their favorites.

Saturday wraps it all up on four blocks on the sands of South Beach where you will find a selection of curated pop-up cafés created by some of Miami’s best seafood restaurants along with complimentary all-day open bars for all ticketed guests. It benefits a great cause: CI Foundation’s EAT SMART program, which provides healthy meals and nutritional guidance to Florida’s youth.

So, get out the drawn butter and head on out to this year’s seafood festival!
