There’s An App For That

Miami-Based App ONR Simplifies HOA Communications

With technology replacing everything from hotel keys to alarm clocks, it was only a matter of time before someone came up with a way to simplify the operations of condo and homeowner associations.

And, in a state that has more than 50,000 such organizations, we’d say a solution is in high demand.

Enter ONR, a Miami-based startup that created an app to simplify how homeowners engage with their HOAs. ONR (pronounced “owner”) provides associations with digital tools like surveys, e-voting, alerts and notifications that residents can access via smartphone or laptop. Not only is the app secure, but it’s the first app specifically designed to comply with state HOA law.

“Helping communities engage has proven to improve the association-living experience for many,” explains ONR co-founder Carlos Guzman in a press release. “The ability to survey owners and residents helps boards and management have clarity on where issues lay, and, despite the stigma, going online makes condos and HOAs more engaged and communication more secure.”

Founded in 2016, ONR is available in Palm Beach, Broward and Miami-Dade counties, and 16 South Florida condominiums are currently using it.
