Casa Vigil Expands To Miami

Come For The Wine, Stay For The Meal

World-renowned winemaker Alejandro Vigil has opened his eponymous restaurant, Casa Vigil, in the heart of Upper Buena Vista, next to Miami’s Midtown.

The rustic upscale restaurant offers a Mediterranean and Argentinian-influenced menu created to pair perfectly with its high-quality and unique wines. It is divided into three spaces: La Cava, the main dining room where the wine cellar houses more than 700 labels; El Patio, the outdoor terrace and El Cielo, the rooftop terrace.

Casa Vigil made its debut in Mendoza, Argentina in 2015 and is the recipient of a Michelin star and a Michelin Green Star, awarded to restaurants that are best in class when it comes to sustainable practices. Vigil, earned the title the “Messi of Wines” by the Michelin Guide.

“Not only do we want to deliver exceptional wines, but we also want to create an environment where guests can deepen their appreciation for the art and science of winemaking,” says Vigil.

But wine is not the only thing on the menu. Guests can order a la carte and indulge in items like empanadas, tablas and a variety of meats including filet mignon, rack of lamb or duck magret.

Or choose from a five-course tasting menu and wine paring. The seafood menu includes grilled octopus, Chilean sea bass, Boston calamari or catch of the day. There’s a variety of vegetables with a unique twist including organic fried artichoke and stuffed zucchini flower.

Top off the meal with a Dulce de Leche Coulant or Chocolate Bombon.

Casa Vigil is located at 5020 N.E. 2nd Ave., Miami. For more information, visit casavigilmiami.com.
