Can't Beat A Classic

Flagler Steakhouse Is The Quintessential Palm Beach Experience

by

There’s no dining experience that charms and pampers Palm Beach-style like dinner at the Flagler Steakhouse at The Breakers Palm Beach.

Take a seat on the terrace overlooking the perfect greens of the resort’s golf course, and bask in the warmth of unparalleled hospitality, sophisticated ambiance and magnificent cuisine.

Luxuriate in classic steakhouse décor paired tastefully with interesting contemporary artwork and furnishings. Relish the servers’ unfailing efforts to make you comfortable. Appreciate the finest quality spirits and wines – with a particularly impressive choice of champagne by the glass – and you know you’re dining somewhere special.

Now, the food. For something deliciously unusual, start with the Blue Crab Dumplings, adorned with shaved Reggiano, red pepper butter and truffle oil, or the dreamy Jumbo Lump Crab Louie, with Hass avocado – both are nirvana for crab lovers. The French Onion Soup, topped with caramelized Gruyere, is also a great starter, as is the Grilled Artichokes, with Green Goddess and Cascabel aioli. There’s also a fabulous selection of iced seafood, including the ultimate Ocean Tower of Shellfish & Raw Bar Selections of the Day.

Don’t deny yourself the supreme treat of a superbly prepared steak in virtually any cut imaginable. The beef at Flagler Steakhouse is USDA prime, which is just 2 percent of all sourced beef.

We chose the uncommon pleasure of a Bone-In Filet Mignon that combined the full-bodied flavor of on-the-bone-cooked meat and the delicate tenderness of a fine filet. Any steak can be complemented with Stuffed Shrimp, Crab Oscar, Lobster Tail or Lobster Oscar. Grill options include the Herb and Dijon Crusted Rack of Colorado Lamb.

Entrée options at Flagler Steakhouse also include Italian specialties like Veal Milanese, with garden arugula and lemon, as well as Jumbo Shrimp Scampi, with linguini, garlic, lemon and calabrian peppers. Fresh fish selections are plentiful and include Pan Roasted Chilean Sea Bass, with Meyer lemon soft herb pistou, and Seared Snapper, with English Peas and choron sauce.

Sample the side dishes, too: The Caramelized Brussels Sprouts brim with bacon, and the Macaroni and Cheese Gratin is both light and satisfying.

Try, dear reader, to save room for dessert. It’s worth the effort. The fruit-dotted Tres Leches couldn’t be more flavorful and creamy, and The Breakers Key Lime Pie is a must-try version of the classic dessert. O
