by

Although the Florida Magazine Association’s 2020 Charlie Awards had to take place online this year, the excitement was no less palpable as The Boca Raton Observer team awaited the results.

Earlier this year, we were nominated for 10 awards in the categories of Best Overall Magazine, Best Overall Design, Best Overall Writing, Best Writing: Service Feature (two awards), Best Digital: Social Media, Best Design: Cover and Best Special Theme or Show Issue (two awards) – all within our prestigious circulation bracket of consumer, circulation over 20,000.

But we didn’t know if we won the Charlie (first place), Silver (second place) or Bronze (third place) awards in those categories until today’s virtual awards ceremony.

Now, we’re ecstatic to share our results – primarily, that we won the Charlie Award (first place) for Best Overall Magazine!

Other wins include:

We’re thrilled to announce that we’re once again Palm Beach County’s most award-winning magazine!

Plus, stay tuned for our latest issue – the August Family Issue – coming out in print and online Monday. It features a fresh, modern redesign from our talented art director, Mandy Ebert, that we know you’re going to love.

Despite tough times, we’re committed to exceeding expectations and bringing you the very best in Boca and beyond!
