When The Beatles disbanded in 1970, it marked the beginning of a new chapter for John Lennon, who, along with fellow members such as Paul McCartney, pursued a successful solo career.

Among Lennon’s highly acclaimed post-Beatles hits is his 1971 song “Imagine,” as well as three solo albums released during “The Lost Weekend,” a tumultuous yet productive period in Lennon’s life spanning from 1973 to 1975.

It was during this time that Lennon separated from his wife, Yoko Ono, and began an 18-month-long relationship with his former, much younger assistant, May Pang.

More than four decades later, Pang, 73, is bringing to the public eye a collection of photographs she captured during “The Lost Weekend.” From Feb. 16-18, they will be displayed at Boca Raton’s Keshet Gallery.

“The exhibition will provide fans a rare opportunity to see John Lennon in a new light, through the lens of someone who knew him intimately during one of the most creative periods of his life,” notes a press release.

“The Lost Weekend – The Photography of May Pang” coincides with the digital release of “The Lost Weekend: A Love Story,” a documentary produced by Briarcliff Entertainment that follows Pang as she recounts her 18-month relationship with Lennon.

The exhibition showcases an array of photographs capturing significant moments, including the period when Lennon and his friend, artist Harry Nilsson, released the album "Pussy Cats." It also features a heartfelt portrait of Lennon, Pang and Lennon's son, Julian, celebrating Christmas 1974 in Palm Beach, alongside photos of Lennon's visits to Disney World.

Two never-seen-before photographs are also part of Pang’s collection: one of Lennon signing the contract to dissolve The Beatles and a last picture of Lennon with McCartney in 1974.

Pang, who has also published three books about her relationship with Lennon, will attend the exhibition and share stories behind these limited-edition photographs. Admission to the exhibit is free, and all works are available for purchase.

Keshet Gallery is located at 8214 Glades Road, Boca Raton.

Opening hours are Feb. 16 from 3-8 p.m., Feb. 17 from 12-8 p.m. and Feb. 18 from 12-5 p.m.
