Local Chefs Battle It Out In Delray Beach

by

Competitive cooking shows like Gordon Ramsey’s Master Chef inspire hunger, adrenalin and fierce spirit all at once. Now you can immerse yourself in that fun culinary energy by watching local chefs go head-to-head in the new in-person competition called Knife Fight.

The showdown begins Dec. 7 with each contestant creating three spectacular dishes at Rose’s Daughter’s open kitchen while the audience cheers on. Dishes will be evaluated by three judges on flavor, presentation and use of special ingredients, which are kept secret until the competition. Ingredients are unconventional so part of the fun is seeing how exactly the contestants will manage to save (or botch) their creations. To add to the excitement, opponents will not know whom they are competing against until the day of the event.

All proceeds will be donated to the EJS Project, a nonprofit organization founded in 2014 committed to serving teens in and around the Delray Beach community. EJS’s mission is to build and empower the future leaders of tomorrow by inspiring leadership, equal opportunity and providing recourses to help them advance in day-to-day life and in school.

Knife Fight takes place once a month through March.
