You’re As Beautiful As You Feel

The Carol King Musical Is Back

by

The Tony and Grammy Award-winning Broadway hit, “Beautiful — The Carole King Musical” just announced its return to South Florida at the Broward Center For The Performing Arts for five performances through June 17-19.

“Beautiful” tells the story of American singer/songwriter Carole King and her rise to stardom, from King’s early days selling her first songs through the recording of King’s hit album, “Tapestry” to exploring a relationship with her writing partner (and eventual husband) Gerry Goffin to producing songs for the biggest acts in rock ‘n’ roll. It was not until her personal life began to crumble that she finally managed to find her true power and voice. Eventually, King became one of the most successful solo singers and composers in popular music history. “Beautiful” features songs like “I Feel The Earth Move,” “One Fine Day,” “A Natural Woman,” “You’ve Got A Friend” and the title song “Beautiful” — all of which served as a soundtrack to an entire generation.

“Following this unprecedented intermission from live theater, we are thrilled that ‘Beautiful’ will be back on the road to bring joy and music once again to audiences across North America for the sixth touring season,” producer Paul Blake says. “We are humbled that over five million audience members worldwide have been entertained by our celebration of Carole’s story and her timeless music.”

Sony Pictures has announced a film adaptation of “Beautiful” that will be produced by Tom Hanks, Gary Goetzman and Paul Blake.

Masks are highly encouraged and welcomed during your visit to the Broward Center For The Performing Arts.
