Come On Down

“The Price Is Right” Live Hits Jackpot At Kravis And Arsht Centers

by

“The Price is Right” is part of American history.

Often referred to as television’s longest-running game show, many of us have guessed along with (or second-guessed) contestants as they vied for prizes since the show burst onto the small screen in 1972.

And, while hosts Bob Barker and Drew Carey are certainly household names, it’s the catchphrase “Come on down!” that signals the fun is about to begin.

It’s not easy to become a contestant, but you just may get the chance at the interactive stage show of the same name at the Kravis Center in West Palm Beach on April 13 at 8 p.m. and the Arsht Center in Miami on April 14 at 8 p.m.

The stage show, which has been delighting audiences for more than 14 years, has given away more than $12 million in cash and prizes.

Randomly selected audience members will have the chance to play games from the show like Plinko, Cliffhangers and the Big Wheel, and some audience members will win prizes at their seats. Prizes vary at each stop, but organizers say they’re similar to those awarded on the TV show, such as appliances, trips and cars.

The Kravis website encourages fans to come on down: “If you’re a fan of ‘The Price Is Right’ on TV, you’ll no doubt love this exciting, live (non-televised), on-stage version of the show.” O
