Boca Raton Museum Art Festival Set For Feb. 4-5

by

The Boca Raton Museum of Art has many exhibits, programs and events. But one of its longstanding ones is the Museum Art Festival in Mizner Park.

This year marks the 36th one for the event which will be held from 10 a.m. – 5 p.m., Feb. 4-5 at Mizner Park.

The popular event draws 40,000 to 60,000 people who, not only appreciate Florida’s fantastic weather in February, but enjoy perusing the work of about 170 artists and artisans from across the country.

The artists, who are eligible for awards, showcase their creativity in various mediums including ceramics, wood, fiber, glass, drawing, painting, mixed media, jewelry, photography and sculpture.

While there, you also can enjoy the exhibits at the museum, which has provided seven decades of creativity and offers tours, lectures, performances, workshops and interactive events. There are docent-led tours at 2 p.m. and a gift shop on the premises.

If you want to return later in the month, several exhibits will be launching (Oswaldo Vigas and Whitfield Lovell) as well as a Feb. 26 performance at 3 p.m. by cellist Anita Graef and Julian Graef, who plays the violin and viola. The duo perform songs by Bach, Mozart and more.
