The ninth annual Wellington Bacon & Bourbon Fest is back, offering more than 30 of the world’s best bourbons and whiskeys and bacon delights March 25-26 at the Village of Wellington Town Center Promenade. If you have a favorite bourbon, there’s no doubt you’ll find it at this one-of-a-kind event, accompanied, of course, by your favorite thick-cut bacon on a stick.

Expect bacon and pork-inspired dishes like the “sublime Forever Roasted Bourbon BBQ Pork & Bacon Sandwich to the insane candied bacon on a stick and other amazing desserts,” notes the event’s website. “Menu items developed by local chefs explore the boundaries of New American Cuisine and good old-fashioned comfort foods, just like Mom used to make!”

Other tasty activities include bacon and bourbon pairing seminars. A full liquor, wine and beer bar will also be available for those who want to drink something other than bourbon. And because this festival has something for everyone, artists and crafters will be showcasing their work — and probably reveling in the sweet smell of bacon, too. “We’ve cleared it with your doctor; your cardiologist and your mother so come and play at the Wellington Bacon & Bourbon Festival,” notes the event website.
