He’s A Honey Bee

Blake Shelton Brings Country Tunes To BB&T Center

by

Will the real Blake Shelton please stand up?

Is he the sexiest man alive, as People boasted to the world? Is that Sprite Zero and vodka in his ever-present cup or just water? Does he really hate Adam Levine?

Fellow singer Gwen Stefani, his current paramour, may be the only one who truly knows the country crooner. But what we do know is that he’ll put on a heck of a show when he takes the stage during his Friends & Heroes 2019 Tour at the BB&T Center in Sunrise on March 9 at 7 p.m.

Shelton, known for his antics – and winning streak – on the singing competition show “The Voice,” is also a restaurateur. He recently opened his second restaurant, Ole Red Nashville, named after his first hit, “Ol Red.” It looks like he has it all – including a slot machine named after him at Planet Hollywood casino in Las Vegas.

Not bad for a megastar who started his career at age 8 when his mom entered him in beauty pageants so he could sing. He later picked up a guitar and, after high school, moved to Nashville to pursue his dream. It took a while, but he made it to the big time – and regularly tops the charts with his tunes.

But, in typical Blake Shelton fashion, he’s much more complex than his lyrics. He’s a philanthropist at heart – even donating $600,000 to Oklahoma City’s Jimmy Everest Center, the state’s only full-service children’s cancer program.
