Janet Jackson is not just the sister of iconic star Michael Jackson, she’s also the only female singer in rock ‘n’ roll history to score five No. 1 studio albums on the Billboard album chart, according to the IMDb website.

On April 14 and 16 at 8 p.m., she’ll dazzle South Florida fans with her “Together Again” show at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Hollywood. “Janet Jackson is one of the most influential entertainers of the modern era,” states the event website. “A published author, dancer, businessperson and philanthropist, her music has won her five Grammy Awards, two Emmy Awards, a Golden Globe Award and an NAACP Best Supporting Actress in a Motion Picture award.

“With more than 180 million records sold worldwide, Jackson stands as one of the best-selling artists of all time, with a string of hits that have left a permanent impression on pop culture. She is the record holder for the biggest-selling debut tour in history and is the first woman to debut in the Top 10 Billboard Hot 100 chart. She also stands as one of only four artists to have a No. 1 album for four successive decades alongside Barbra Streisand, Bruce Springsteen and U2,” notes the website.

Her reputation precedes her. After all, she is ranked as the third most awarded artist in history, authored a self-help book “True You” which topped The New York Times Best Seller List, is the first Black woman to win the Icon Award at the 2018 Billboard Music Awards, has been ranked as one of the 100 sexiest women in various countries and in 2019, was inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame alongside her brothers. “Janet Jackson,” a documentary released in January 2022, reveals her most intimate moments throughout the ups and downs of her life and career.
