Chihuly Works Dazzle At The Society Of The Four Arts

Dale Chihuly’s one-of-a-kind creations are a sight to behold and now’s your chance.

Two of his works will be on display through May 2 at the Philip Hulitar Sculpture Garden at the Society of The Four Arts in Palm Beach.

The installations — dubbed “Fiori” (Italian for flowers) — are “Black and Yellow Herons” and “Red Bulbous Reeds,” which demonstrate his penchant for organic, free flowing forms evoking the natural world.

“I love to juxtapose the manmade and the natural to sort of make people wonder, ‘Are they manmade or did they come from nature?,’” explains Chihuly.

“Known for ambitious architectural installations in cities, museums and gardens around the world, Chihuly utilizes a variety of media to realize his creative vision, including glass, paint, charcoal, neon, ice and Polyvitro. Chihuly’s work is included in more than 200 museum collections worldwide, including Metropolitan Museum of Art, Smithsonian American Art Museum and Corning Museum of Glass,” notes the venue’s website.
