Music To Our Ears

John Legend Brings ‘Bigger Love’ To BB&T

by

John Legend is (finally) taking the stage at the BB&T Center in Sunrise.

His tour, cancelled twice due to COVID-19, is set for Oct. 10 at 8 p.m. Now dubbed the Bigger Love Tour, the musician, “The Voice” coach, pianist and award-winning songwriter is more than ready to reconnect with his fans.

“I cannot wait to come together with you after all this time we’ve been apart,” he said in a news release. “It is a celebration of love, joy, sensuality, hope, and resilience, and I can’t wait for all of us to get lifted again with live music.”

He told the Atlanta Journal-Constitution, “The show is going to be joyful and a celebration of love and connection. We want people to dance and have a good time. The band and arrangements are really beautiful. We’ve had so much fun building this show together.”

His latest album, “Bigger Love,” which dropped in 2020, is replete with his unique sound. “I like to think I do everything with passion,” he told Variety, “but certainly music comes first.”
