On The Road Again

Laugh It Up With Comedian Patton Oswalt At Broward Center

by

Comedian and actor Patton Oswalt knows what it’s like to laugh when you feel like crying.

When the award-winning actor and comedian’s 46-year-old wife, writer and journalist Michelle McNamara, died suddenly in 2016, he had to find a way to cope – both for himself and their young daughter.

He turned to what he knew best: the standup stage. In the Netflix special “Annihilation,” he touches on the dark days after the death of his beloved spouse. Oswalt, who has since remarried, makes it a point to tackle projects that inspire him and entertain others.

That’s exactly what he plans to do when he arrives at the Broward Center in Fort Lauderdale on Feb. 15 at 8 p.m. with his I Love Everything Tour.

“The material definitely changes from show to show, city to city. It depends on my mood that night – and the crowd’s mood,” he told Indianapolis Monthly

One thing is certain: He has plenty of experience to draw upon. He won an Emmy for Outstanding Writing for a Variety Special for the comedy special “Talking for Clapping”; starred as Principal Durbin on the NBC comedy “A.P. Bio”; voiced Max the dog in “The Secret Life Of Pets 2”; voiced Remy the rat in “Ratatouille”; and appeared in films like “The Secret Life Of Walter Mitty” and “The Informant.”

Get ready to be entertained. O
