Pumpkin Extravaganza

Festival At Mizner Park Welcomes Fall

by

Fall in Florida may be elusive, but the Boca Pumpkin Patch Festival will get you in the spirit.

The Oct. 15-16 event at Mizner Park Amphitheater in Boca Raton will feature 2,500 pumpkins — from Jack-O-Lanterns (the size of a basketball) to pie pumpkins (the size of a grapefruit), white pumpkins, miniature pumpkins (baseball size) — and even Cinderella pumpkins, which have a bluish hue.

You can decorate your pumpkin as well as enjoy pumpkin-themed food and drink (how does a pumpkin beer bar sound?).

And to add some spice to the event, there will be a cornstalk maze, dress-your-own scarecrow village and carnival rides for all ages.

“Kids of every age (and the kids at heart) will love all the fun & thrills our carnival rides offer the whole family! From kiddie roller coasters to bumper cars, we have it all,” notes the event’s website.

You’ll want to capture all the memories at Instagram-worthy spots. Some ideas? “Snap a family photo in our hay couch or giant chair, take a selfie in front of our sunflower wall or paper flower wall, or have one of our staffers capture a groupie with our genuine chuck wagon.”
