Get Up Close And Personal With Actor Rob Lowe At Broward Center

Rob Lowe may look like he’s in his 30s, but he’s been acting for more than four decades.

And anyone who has spent that much time in Hollywood certainly has some stories to tell. Lowe, who first achieved heartthrob status on “St. Elmo’s Fire,” will share them during his Stories I Only Tell My Friends: LIVE! Tour at the Broward Center for the Performing Arts in Fort Lauderdale on May 19 at 7 p.m. 

“Inspired by the success of his two New York Times best-selling memoirs, ‘Stories I Only Tell My Friends’ and ‘Love Life,’ Rob has created an all-new peek behind the curtain at Hollywood, fame, fatherhood and marriage,” notes the venue’s website. “From the Brat Pack to ‘The West Wing’ to ‘Parks and Rec’ and beyond, it is packed with witty fun and one-of-a-kind insights spanning an iconic four-decade career.”

Broadway World gave high praise to the show, saying: “Lowe opens himself up in an honest, personal look at his private and professional life and how he’s reached where he is today.” 

Be prepared for some laughs, it notes: “The humor is first-class with the jokes and funny anecdotes keeping the audiences in stitches for most of the night. Much of the credit must go to Lowe’s smart self-deprecating manner and great comic timing.”

The 55-year-old father of two has been married more than 25 years to wife Sheryl. His secret to a happy marriage?
