Talented Trio

Rascal Flatts has certainly made a name for itself.

This award-winning country-music trio – comprising Joe Don Rooney, Jay DeMarcus and Gary LeVox – has produced 10 albums, recorded 16 No. 1 hits, and sold more than 23 million records and 10 million concert tickets.

Even those of us who are mathematically challenged know how impressive that is.

The band has its own distinct sound – and fans clamor for more. Luckily, they can see the group when it takes the stage at Coral Sky Amphitheatre in West Palm Beach on May 23 at 7:30 p.m It’s all part of the Summer Playlist Tour 2019, and the band will be bringing fellow country singers Lee Brice and Morgan Evans along to join in the musical fun. 

Although Rascal Flatts is known for its toe-tapping music, the guys are also philanthropists. Recently, they were honored with a star on the Walk of Champions at Monroe Carell Jr. Children’s Hospital at Vanderbilt in Nashville. They’ve raised almost $4 million for the hospital and spent hours visiting and performing for patients. The trio also hosts the annual Rascal Flatts Celebrity Golf Classic to raise funds for the facility.

“When I look back over everything we’ve been able to do in our careers, this is one of the things that I will carry with me until the day that I’m no longer here and be most proud of,” said DeMarcus, according to the band’s website. “You start to talk about things like a legacy and being able to do things that will last and leave a mark, and we could not have picked any better family, any better place to have been involved with than all of our people who we love so much at this wonderful hospital.” O
