New Name, New Look, Same Great Customer Service
It’s a new year – and, for Brown, it’s also a whole new look. From the exterior of the 10,000-square-foot showroom to the modern interior with its interactive design technology, Brown is paving the way to the future.
Behind it all has been Jayson Friedman, who joined Brown in 2012 as director of operations and who worked his way up to CEO in 2016. In the three years since,Friedman, along with President Dana Brown, has been executing a vision to improve the overall client experience and enhance the brand.
Now simply Brown, the 42-year-old interior design firm that specializes in high-end luxury homes has undergone several incarnations. It started as a furniture store named The Living Room and was renamed Brown’s Furniture in the 1980s. It later became Brown’s Furniture and Design, and then Brown’s Interior Design.
“We have continued to evolve and change as the market has changed,” says Friedman, who grew up in the furniture industry.
The changes have been noticeable to anyone driving by. The exterior is streamlined and modern while the interior features an open floor plan where designers are fully integrated into the space. There’s also a redesigned logo and a refreshed website.
“If we are going to have a brick and mortar location in the heart of Boca Raton, we wanted to have one that is memorable, like the designs we create for our clients, and provide an experience that is different,” says Friedman.
In addition, Brown has added staff and is focused on growing its clientele by reaching a younger demographic while at the same time retaining its longtime and dedicated clients.
“It’s important for us to keep with the brand and our reputation in the marketplace for many years to come,” he says.
Friedman’s next challenge? Improving internal systems and operations that will allow Brown to grow its footprint.
“We see opportunities in the South Florida marketplace,” he says.
