Brian Samberg Helps Clients Understand Their Risks
Brian Samberg is more than an insurance agent. He is a risk advisor.
“Risk management is an important component of a client’s financial well-being. My job is protecting and preserving clients’ assets,” says Samberg, Senior Vice President of NSI Insurance Group, one of the largest privately owned insurance agencies in South Florida.
In 2017, Samberg merged his 32-year-old SoutheastInsurance, based in BocaRaton, with Miami-based NSI Insurance Group, which has been in existence for more than 60 years. NSI is led by CEO Oscar Seikaly and COO James McCue.
“We went from being a South Florida boutique agency to having the ability to write nationally and inter-nationally,” says Samberg, who prides himself on his individualized attention to clients’ needs.
“We have a unique process of assessing, analyzing and evaluating clients’ exposures to be sure there are no gaps or surprises in the event of a loss. As independent agents, we are able to offer our clients many different options, all with excellent companies, including industry leaders AIG, Chubb, Pure and Vault, etc.”
Samberg points out that not all insurance policies are equal and that there can be significant differences in coverage.
“Just because two policies list similar limits does not make them equal, rather, far from it.”
NSI has robust commercial and benefits departments. They work with a broad range of industries, including art galleries, museums, hotels, shipping companies, restaurants and a vast array of professional offices.
Samberg is active in the industry and sits on the Board of Directors of the ProfessionalInsurance Association. He spends time each year inTallahassee and Washington, D.C. meeting with elected leaders, and he sits on several committees working on matters that are important to Floridians.
“I enjoy what I do. Each client has a unique story and lifestyle. I want to know what it is so I can create custom plans designed to protect their most valued possessions – from their homes, collections, vehicles and their business,” Samberg says.
