Stylish Comeback

Robb & Stucky Furniture And Interiors Returns To Boca Raton

Frank D'Angelis

With five stores throughout the state – in Fort Myers, Naples, Sarasota, Coral Gables and, once again, Boca Raton – it’s no wonder that Robb & Stucky is known as one of Florida’s largest interior design studios and furniture galleries.

Robb & Stucky’s newest furniture store, at 1353 N. Federal Highway in Boca Raton, greets visitors with lots of natural light streaming in, LED lighting along the top of the 30-foot-high showroom, great windows and lots of fabrics.

“When you walk in, it’s all natural and very crisp because of the sunlight,” explains manager Frank D’Angelis. “This invites the outside in; we do whatever we can so that people visualize the colors in natural light.”

Customers love what they see when they visit Robb & Stucky, he says: “We try to make changes around our showroom so repeat customers will always have something new to admire – from our artwork and pieces of furniture to beautiful chandeliers, raw wood and petrified items.”

The furnishings at Robb & Stucky are not considered modern but have a clean, crisp, detailed look.

“We have a [custom] design center upstairs, so customers can create the look and comfort they desire,” says D’Angelis, who has worked in the furniture industry most of his life. “We use the best American-made and other high-end manufacturers. In the world of furniture, it’s much easier for our designers to create the looks customers want than ever before.”

Robb & Stucky employs designers who visit customers’ homes and use CAD (computerized placement of furniture) to complete the experience, D’Angelis explains.

“We also work with flooring, window design and custom built-in experts,” he says.

These days, accent pieces made of natural wood are popular as well as durable natural fabrics.

D’Angelis adds that there’s been a recent change in customer attitudes: Today, people are bringing outdoor fabrics inside. Before, tough, scratchy outdoor materials stayed outside. Now, solution-dyed acrylic that makes furnishings reasonably priced and livable is finding its way indoors.

In the years to come, Robb & Stucky’s intention is to grow even more.

“We want to be a Florida store that people recognize,” expresses D’Angelis. “There are other locations to come.” O
