The National Multiple Sclerosis (MS) Society will host its 41st MS Gala Luncheon on Jan. 24, 2025, at Boca West Country Club. This premier event has raised more than $10 million to help fund critical research, programs and services toward the search for a cure.
This year’s keynote speaker is Grammy award-winning singer, actress, songwriter, author and philanthropist Gloria Estefan. Estefan’s father lived with MS, and she has supported MS causes in his memory, including the National MS Society.
For the second year, Monica Goldstein will serve as event chair. Honorary co-chairs are Ila Feld Davidoff and Carrie Schulman. Together, they will present the Hope Award — the Society’s highest volunteer award — to Michael S. Weiss. Weiss is a biotech entrepreneur, investor and innovator with more than 30 years of experience in health care. As the founder, chairman and CEO of a biotech company, he has led the way in developing a new disease-modifying therapy for MS.
Fashion designer Mayda Cisneros will host a runway show showcasing her luxury brand, drawing inspiration from global fashion designs tailored for the South Florida market. The event will include a live auction featuring an exquisite diamond heart necklace and a silent auction with gift baskets and certificates from coveted vendors.
The Boca Raton Observer is the event’s exclusive media sponsor.
