Norman & Anne Jacobson
On March 5, community members and leaders will gather at The Addison Boca Raton for the Adolph & Rose Levis Jewish Community Center’s “Special Night for Special Needs” Dream Builder Celebration. For more than 13 years, the community of Dream Builders has come together in support of the life-changing and critical programs presented by the Levis JCC’s Helene & Roy Schwedelson Special Needs Department. The event, chaired by Melissa & Carlos Romero and Janet Sahr, is sponsored by Boca Regional Hospital Foundation. The Boca Raton Observer is the exclusive magazine sponsor.
The reception, which requires a minimum donation of $600, will honor Anne & Norman Jacobson for their ongoing support of the Levis JCC’s Helene & Roy Schwedelson Special Needs Department. Romy Green, a teen who has volunteered in the department’s Fit & Fun program for the past four years, will be honored with the Yad B’Yad — Hand in Hand Teen Leadership Award.
The event showcases the Helene & Roy Schwedelson Special Needs Department programs which include: Marleen Forkas Camp Kavod Year-Round Programs, including an eight-week Summer Camp program and Winter & Spring Camp; Fit & Fun Program; After School Enrichment; Paul Markhoff Otzar Sunday School; Parent’s Night Out & Kids Night Out; Schwedelson Young Adult Social Scene & Schwedelson Sunday Social Scene (year-round); Move & Mingle Adult Fitness Programs, SAVVY and Year-Round Parent & Caregiver Support Group Sibling Support Group.
Each year, the “Dream Builder” event continues to grow, as does the community support for these critical programs.
