H.O.W. Hearing the Ovarian Cancer Whisper hosted its 22nd Annual Time of the Essence Luncheon & Fashion Show on Jan. 24 at The Sailfish Club, Palm Beach. Renowned American designer and entrepreneur Dennis Basso was the event’s honoree and guest speaker.
The 22nd Annual Time of the Essence Luncheon & Fashion Show, which is the primary fundraising event for H.O.W., was chaired by Andrea Stark, Eddy Taylor and Christine Schott. Frances Fisher and Betsy K. Matthews served as honorary chairwomen.
Guests of the sold-out luncheon listened to Basso share “love for women, fashion, and why I wanted to give back to H.O.W.,” which was an intimate conversation moderated by Pamela Fiori, former first female editor of Town & Country magazine. The highly successful event also featured an informal fashion show with the latest trends and evening wear from Dennis Basso’s
Spring/Summer 2024 collection.
“Dennis is a wonderful, joyful man who helped us create a greater awareness about ovarian cancer and our mission while making it a fun afternoon,” said Taylor, a friend and client of Basso.
Every guest of the event went home with a piece of the collection — a gorgeous silk scarf with a print from the new line, personalized with H.O.W.’s signature teal and butterflies — as an exclusive gift of original art from Basso. For those who wanted a more personal opportunity to view and purchase the collection, Basso held a trunk show at Club Colette in Palm Beach the following two days featuring Dennis Basso’s stunning Spring/Summer 2024 collection, with a percentage of proceeds benefiting H.O.W.
Major benefactors of the luncheon were Matthews and Taylor. The corporate sponsor was Inlet Private Wealth. Proceeds benefitted H.O.W. Hearing the Ovarian Cancer Whisper.
