Tri-County Animal Rescue will hold the 17th Annual Doggie & Kittie Ball on April 14 at Boca West Country Club in Boca Raton.
The “Casino Saloon”-themed event will include entertainment by Steve Chase Band, Dawn Marie and Alexandra Lewis, and Boca Raton firefighters will walk the red carpet with rescue dogs and cats. The night will begin with gaming tables, followed by dinner, entertainment and a live auction with auctioneer and MC Neil Saffer.
The event chair is Sharon DiPietro, with Palm Beach County State Attorney Dave Aronberg and Sergio DoRosario serving as honorary chairs. Silent auction co-chairs are Susan Merkel and Laurie Udine, and longtime Tri-County supporter Jeri Caprio will receive the Jeanette Christos Award. The Grand Marshal Doggie is Figi, owned by Jeff Zapeolan, and the Grand Marshal Kittie is Addison, owned by Ted Campbell.
“Dust off your hat, boots and denim, then glam it up with diamonds and pearls,” says DiPietro. “This year’s event promises to be the most fun ever!”
Proceeds from the event will enable Tri-County to continue its lifesaving work, providing a safe haven, nutritious food and veterinary treatment until animals can be adopted.
The nonprofit – a 100 percent no-kill shelter for dogs and cats with facilities throughout the region – has embarked on a building program totaling 64,000 square feet. The build-out will enable Tri-County to expand its services and accommodate the growing need for additional space to rescue, rehabilitate and re-home dogs and cats with caring families. O
