The Crohn’s & Colitis Foundation Southern Florida Chapter appointed Christine E. Lynn as the recipient of its 2024 Hope Award and honoree of its annual Luncheon for a Cure scheduled for Dec. 5 at Broken Sound Club in Boca Raton.
Lynn, a prominent businesswoman and health care philanthropist, has been a driving force in improving health care accessibility and quality in South Florida. Born in Denmark and educated in Norway, Lynn’s background as a registered and surgical nurse has fueled her passion for health-care advancement.
Her philanthropic efforts have led to the establishment of numerous medical facilities, schools and community projects bearing the Lynn name. She serves on the Board of Trustees of Stetson University, Boca Raton Regional Hospital and Lynn University and has been a major donor to Florida Atlantic University, The Miami Project to Cure Paralysis and the American Heart Association.
Regarding her selection as the Hope Award recipient, Lynn says, “My background in health care has taught me the importance of having quality care accessible to everyone. A crucial part of achieving quality care is having organizations like the Crohn’s and Colitis Foundation working to further advancements in research and treatment for those suffering with these diseases.”
Katie Keohane, senior executive director for the Crohn’s & Colitis Foundation Southern Florida Chapter says, “We are so thrilled to recognize Mrs. Lynn’s exceptional contributions to health care and her support for the Crohn’s & Colitis Foundation’s mission.
