The George Snow Scholarship Fund (GSSF) will host the 28th annual “Rhinestone” Cowboy Ball on Feb.19 at 6 p.m. at The Boca Raton.
The George Snow Scholarship Fund is hosting the ball to raise awareness of their mission while honoring Jay & Melissa Whelchel as Honorary Chairs and Dan & Shoshana Davidowitz as recipients of the Community Service Award, and the frontline healthcare workers of the Boca Raton Regional Hospital, recipients of the Corporate Community Service Award. The ball will feature rodeo-style music and entertainment like ax throwing, mechanical bull riding and tequila tastings.
Guests can enjoy a fun and action-packed evening made possible by the GSSF sponsors, with an open bar and country-themed entertainment. Opportunities to win big include high-dollar auction items and a raffle for a $5,000 cash prize.
“The Cowboy Ball was first started in 1982 with a nod to my father’s love for horses, and over the years has become one of Boca’s favorite events,” says Tim Snow, President of the George Snow Scholarship Fund. “Our sponsors’ continued support, along with our donors and event guests, has allowed us to award over $2 million in scholarships and support services in 2021. Their commitment to the George Snow Scholarship Fund and our events has changed the lives of hundreds of deserving students.”
This year’s event chairs are Victoria Matthews and Elizabeth Murdoch Titcomb. This year’s sponsors include the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office, Whelchel Partners, Amy & Mike Kazma, Robin & Charles Deyo, Babione-Kraeer Funeral Homes, Pink Palm Group Douglas Elliman, Jim & Marta Batmasian Family Foundation, Boca Raton Regional Hospital, Paradise Bank, Fairman & Associates, Inc., Thomas Produce Company, Office Depot, Signature Real Estate Finder, LLC. and Murdoch Weires PLLC. The George Snow Scholarship Fund extends special gratitude to The Boca Raton for their generous support.
All proceeds from ticket sales, raffle ticket sales, auction items and sponsorships will go to the George Snow Scholarship Fund and its efforts to provide scholarships and support services to its students. For more information, call 561-347-6799 visit scholarship.org.
