March of the Living, Southern Region U.S.A. brings Jewish teens and adults to Poland, Germany and Israel and is made possible through proceeds of the Annual Kristallnacht Commemorative Program
The March of the Living, Southern Region U.S.A. and the Jewish Federation of South Palm Beach County, in commemoration of the 86th anniversary of Kristallnacht, will present the 23rd Annual Kristallnacht Commemorative Program (KCP) on Nov. 10. The program, which includes music from composers whose lives and careers were cut short during World War II, will feature “Jewish Voices,” a moving performance by a third-generation Holocaust survivor.
KCP, formerly the Kristallnacht Film Forum, is a signature event that promotes Holocaust education and awareness by highlighting stories of triumph, courage, perseverance and humanity from the Holocaust and raises scholarship funds for local students to participate in the March of the Living.
March of the Living, Southern Region U.S.A. is an international, educational program bringing Jewish teens and adults from all over the world to Poland on Yom HaShoah (Holocaust Memorial Day) to march from Auschwitz to Birkenau, the largest concentration camp complex built during World War II, and then to Israel to observe Yom HaZikaron (Israel Memorial Day) and Yom Ha’atzmaut (Israel Independence Day).
This year, KCP will be held at 1 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 10, with a KCP donor reception honoring local survivors at 11:30 a.m.
