JAFCO will host its 2022 Jacob’s Ladder Award Gala at 7 p.m. Dec. 10 at the Polo Club of Boca Raton to raise money for abused and neglected children and those with developmental disabilities.
Events like the Gala help the organization serve its mission to provide safety, love and security to abused children through its many programs including family preservation, foster care, adoption, mentoring, group homes and a 24-hour emergency shelter.
JAFCO’s 30-year anniversary is this year and the event theme is Gratitude… Celebrating 30 Years of Love in recognition of this milestone. The Gala will be highlighted by the presentation of the prestigious Jacob’s Ladder Award for Child Advocacy to two couples who have been dedicated to protecting abused and neglected children in our community: Carole and Mel Kantor and Becky and Laurence Herrup. The Lifetime Achievement Award will be presented to Sandra and Paul Goldner. The honorees’ commitment to providing love and safety to our most vulnerable and precious children is an inspiration to us all.
“We celebrate our annual Gala as a tribute to our incredible donors who do such amazing things for our JAFCO children and raise much-needed funds for the organization throughout the year,” said Janet Epstein, Philanthropy Director at JAFCO. “Our supporters allow JAFCO to make a true impact on over 6,500 children we have served over the past 30 years.”
The Boca Raton Observer is the event’s exclusive media sponsor.
