The Adolph & Rose Levis Jewish Community Center announces Jeans, Jewels & The J – Rock The Night Away, an evening of fun, friends and community.
The event follows the Levis JCC’s tradition of pausing once each year to celebrate the organization, its supporters and honorees.
On Jan. 25 at Boca West Country Club in Boca Raton, the event will begin with a cocktail reception, followed by a brief program; dinner; dancing; a silent auction; and casino games, including roulette, blackjack and craps. Chaired by Jennifer and Matthew Kaufman, Alyssa and Daniel Kovacs, Karen and Ethan Lazar, and Jenna Rubin and Aaron Millman, the event is expected to host more than 400 to celebrate the center and benefit its programs and services.
The Levis JCC will honor Marisa and Matthew P. Baker with the Phyllis & Harvey Sandler Crystal Award and Sandy and Rob Beyer with the Shirley & Allan B. Solomon Leadership Award, both presented annually.
Jeans, Jewels & The J is sponsored by The Boca Raton Observer, Lou Bachrodt Automotive Group and Zo Diamonds. The event benefits the Betty & Marvin Zale Early Childhood Learning Center; the Helene & Roy Schwedelson Special Needs Department; Sports & Wellness; Arts, Culture & Learning at the Phyllis & Harvey Sandler Center; Marleen Forkas Camps; and the Resale Boutique. Proceeds support a scholarship and financial aid program that enables hundreds of children to participate in preschool, special needs and summer camp programs they would not otherwise be able to attend.O
