The Jewish Women’s Foundation of South Palm Beach County, a program of the Jacobson Jewish Community Foundation of the Jewish Federation of South Palm Beach County, will present “The Multi-Headed Dragon: Today’s Sex Trafficking in the United States” on March 9 at 4 p.m.
The Jewish Women’s Foundation’s Voices for Change: Caring, Connecting, Learning virtual event is chaired by Elaine Abrams and Jeanne Fibus.
JWF hopes to raise awareness and activism among women about this important issue. One-third of human trafficking victims come from abroad, while two-thirds are enslaved locally. Event attendees will learn how human trafficking operates, and the initiatives created to abolish it.
Suspense novelist Talia Carner is the keynote speaker. Her psychological thrillers, “Puppet Child,” “China Doll” and “Jerusalem Maiden,” bring to the forefront indignities and atrocities long ignored. A consultant to Fortune 500 companies, Carner is a committed supporter of global human rights. She is a board member of The Hadassah-Brandeis Institute Jewish Women Research Center at Brandeis University.
This program is sponsored by the Jewish Women’s Foundation of South Palm Beach County, a program of the Jacobson Jewish Community Foundation.
