Men Giving Back Awards Over Half Million Dollars To Local Nonprofits
More than 200 members, charity finalists and invited guests of Men Giving Back (MGB) South Palm Beach County gathered at the Royal Palm Yacht & Country Club on Nov. 6 for the 4th Annual Golden Grants event. Attendees enjoyed live music, a raffle featuring jewelry from Diamonds Direct, cocktails and dinner as they honored the 25 selected charity semifinalists for this year’s major grants.
Local charities submitted nominations for the Golden Grant Awards, with 25 receiving the coveted “Golden Ball” announcement notifying them of their selection as semifinalists.
During the event, finalists were chosen randomly by the selection of 12 “Golden Balls” from a draw cage by Boca Raton Mayor Scott Singer. The four major grant winners were then determined by spins of the MGB “wheel of giving,” each receiving full funding for their proposed projects. The remaining finalists and semifinalists also received funds, with more than half of a million dollars granted during the event.
The winners of the 2024 Golden Grant Awards were Families First of PBC, Sweet Dream Makers, Eda & Cliff Viner Community Scholars Foundation and Nat King Cole Generation Hope.
“We’re incredibly proud to be able to support so many nonprofits year after year,” said Dr. Nathan Nachles, one of the founding members of MGB. “Our members continue to be inspired by the impact we’ve collectively had on these worthy causes and the ways they help better our community.”
MGB of South Palm Beach County was founded in February 2020 by a group of motivated men from business, finance, health care, hospitality and law backgrounds. Driven by a passion for community, the organization provides grants to several South Palm Beach County nonprofits.
