The South Florida Strawberry Festival is back with three exciting days of family-friendly fun, rides, music, shopping and, of course, delicious strawberry treats. Set for Jan. 17-19 at Boca Raton’s South Regional Park, this year’s event promises to be bigger and sweeter than ever.
Organized by Artisan Promotions Inc., a mother-daughter team with 40 years of experience, the festival has become a beloved midwinter tradition, taking place during Florida’s peak strawberry harvest season. Spanning the cooler months, it’s the perfect time to indulge in this sweet, seasonal delight.
“Our goal was to create an event that has something for everyone … from babies to empty nesters. A festival that is entertaining, taste-bud satisfying, adrenaline-inducing … and the whole event centers around strawberries. You name it, we have it!” says Skyler Mendieta, co-founder of South Florida Strawberry Festival.
The weekend-long celebration offers a variety of attractions, from live music and entertainment to carnival rides, bumper boats and bungee trampolines. Visitors can enjoy a petting zoo, a golf-simulator competition and, back by popular demand, the America’s Got Talent Dog Show, all while enjoying an array of strawberry goodies.
Kids won’t want to miss having their photo taken with the festival’s mascot, Silly Sammy the Strawberry, while teens and adults can test their athletic skills at the U.S. Ninja Warrior Obstacle Course and the Derby and Water Race Game Trailers. The festivities also include the Pop-Up Shopping Village, featuring handmade treasures, home decor accents and specialty foods from local vendors.
“Florida is the No.1 winter strawberry producer, and we wanted to celebrate the wonderful weather we have here in South Florida in January with the South Florida Strawberry Festival,” adds Jackie Ralston, co-founder of Artisan Promotions Inc.
