On April 18, the Adolph & Rose Levis Jewish Community Center presented its annual Shine Like a Star Luncheon at Boca West Country Club.
The event benefited its Helene & Roy Schwedelson Special Needs Department and its many participants. This year’s guest speaker, award-winning actor, author, musician and poet John Lithgow, addressed a sold-out audience during the program, which was emceed by Beth Rosenstein, Bloomingdale’s Trade Area vice president. Guests gave generously, raising a record $221,000 to support the department’s programs.
