Florida Atlantic University’s Dorothy F. Schmidt College of Arts and Letters raised more than $80,000 for student scholarships at its Culture, Arts and Society Today (CAST) Party on Feb. 27 at The Polo Club of Boca Raton. Marta Batmasian and Marilyn Weinberg were honored at the event for their contributions to the arts in South Florida.
The chairpersons were Melanie Cabot, Maurice Plough and Beth Schwartz. Entertainment was provided by FAU faculty and students. The night ended with the FAU Commercial Music Ensemble performing pop music for a night of dancing.
