Farm-to-table dining may be old news, but farm-to-table living? That's the latest residential concept, also known as an "agrihood," which has arrived in Loxahatchee with Arden. The neighborhood - in which four developers, including Lennar, are building homes - centers on a community farm that produces fruits, vegetables and herbs and has dedicated farm managers.
"The explosive growth of agrihoods with farm-to-table living amenities and the desire for open, green spaces and recreational activities that exemplify healthy living is undeniable nationwide," says Dan Grosswald, president of the Lennar Palm Atlantic Division, according to a press release. "Arden offers South Florida the finest in destination living that combines all of these amenities and more in response to a growing demand from millennials, baby boomers and everyone in between."
Outdoorsy residents relish the master-planned, single-family-home community's 1,200 acres of lakes, parks and open space as well as more than 20 miles of walking and bike trails. Additional highlights include seasonal organic farming classes, an onsite lifestyle director, a community garden and barn, a clubhouse, a resort-style pool, a fitness center and tennis courts.
