Life is about to get even sweeter for IT'SUGAR CEO and founder Jeff Rubin.
The South Florida resident, who created a one-of-a-kind destination for sweets that has since expanded globally, will be inducted into the 2018 Candy Hall of Fame. The award shines a spotlight on the industry's most influential confectionary leaders and will be presented this month in Tampa.
"I'm incredibly honored to have been selected as a 2018 inductee into the Candy Hall of Fame," says Rubin, according to a press release. "Creating a retail experience where customers can not only satisfy their sweet tooth but tap into the humor and childlike wonder we once all felt has been nothing short of amazing."
Rubin created IT'SUGAR in 2006, and it has grown to more than 100 locations worldwide, including stores in Boca Raton and Delray Beach. The sugary offerings include the Sugarpova candy line, created with tennis pro Maria Sharapova, and a candy line inspired by "Saturday Night Live" skits. Guests can also peruse novelty gifts and toys.
