Renowned Canadian Chef Andrea Jourdan could’ve brought her tantalizing cuisine to any corner of the country.
But, lucky for us, she chose Boynton Beach for her recently opened restaurant, Chez Andrea Gourmet Provence.
“When I first came here, I fell in love with the coast. Since my family has always been a part of my story, we were ready for a new journey together. Everything we needed was right here,” she explains in a press release. “We found a beautiful opportunity in a perfect little house in Boynton Beach. This homey nest is a natural setting for the contemporary Provence cuisine we will present.”
Housed in the historic Ruth Jones Cottage on Ocean Avenue, the 40-seat restaurant offers bistro-style ambiance with food prepared by Chef Jourdan herself – with plenty of TLC. Guests can expect entrees like Le Foie Gras Poele (seared duck foie gras, caramelized apples and warm bread pudding) and appetizers like Le Duo D’Escargots (escargots in garlic butter and parmesan foam) as well as more than 60 wines.
Does Chef Jourdan have the chops to make the formerly unlucky location work? We’d say so: She’s published more than 100 cookbooks; hosted the Italian TV series “Mangia! Mangia!”; and honed her talents in France, Italy, the United States and Canada. In fact, she was mentored by Michelin Star chefs Joël Robuchon and Bernard Loiseau, among others.
So, what’s Chef Jourdan’s advice to diners at her restaurant?
“Eating at Chez Andrea Gourmet Provence is a culinary experience, and you should enjoy every moment of it. Do not rush.”
