South Florida residents Jenny Dell and Tracy Simon have cooked up a new venture, seasoned it with love and are serving it with passion. Meet Simply Dellicious.
The former college roomies – who share an appetite for cooking – recently launched an online cookbook, a YouTube cooking show and a website that covers everything from easy meals to kitchen hacks.
Simply Dellicious offers “easy-to-follow delicious recipes geared toward parents who are short on time but love good food,” according to a press release.
“We’re building our brand around easy, tried-and-true recipes from the heart of our home,” explains Dell, a CBS sports reporter and mom, in a press release. “We want to create an interactive destination for the first-time cook, the experienced chef and everyone in between.”
Adds Simon, a mom and digital marketing expert who co-owns a self-defense company, in a press release: “Our mission is to be transparent and relatable. Sometimes we forget to preheat the oven, on occasion buy pre-chopped vegetables and have definitely burnt a piece of toast.”
Breakfast, lunch and dinner recipes abound, including Easy Pad Thai, Blueberry Breakfast Cake and Marsala Wine Chicken.
The duo met at the University of Massachusetts, where Dell double-majored in hospitality and tourism management as well as sport event marketing and Simon studied marketing and communications.
“When they coincidentally moved 10 minutes from each other in Florida, they decided to team up on their next adventure to share their passion for cooking with the world,” notes their website.
