If you’re one of those people who struggles to get your dog into the car or your cat into a carrier, then here is some good news. PetMed Express, Inc., based in Delray Beach, is teaming with Vetster Inc. to offer pet owners the option to connect with a vet via telehealth.
Instead of having to wait in a crowded vet office or worse, in your car, through its exclusive partnership with Vetstar, a two-year-old startup, pet owners can reach one of the more than 70,000 vets 24 hours a day, seven days a week. You can talk to them from the comfort of your home. Consultations take place either through video, text or audio.
“PetMed Express, Inc. pioneered the online pet medication business over 26 years ago, and this partnership with Vetster is an important step in establishing PetMeds’ expanded strategy as the go-to expert in pet health,” says Matt Hulett, CEO and President of PetMed Express.
The partnership comes at a time when pet ownership is at an all-time high. Seventy percent of U.S. households, or about 90.5 million families, own a pet, according to the 2021-2022 National Pet Owners Survey conducted by the American Pet Products Association.
