One of America’s biggest LGBTQ+ beach parties, which draws fans from around the world, is returning to Miami Beach. URGE Miami Thanksgiving Festival takes place Nov. 29 – Dec. 2.
Miami attracts more than 1 million LGBTQ+ visitors each year and Miami Beach has its own dedicated LGBTQ+ Visitor Center.
URGE boasts three massive events: a Saturday pool party, a legendary Sunday beach party and a Monday morning after-hours event. It’s a star-studded cast of artists, DJs and performers, as well as art installations, interactive displays and themed areas. Oh, and don’t forget the food!
URGE replaced the European-based Circuit Festival after COVID-19 restrictions prevented it from taking place. It’s produced by Luis Morera, Billy Kemp and Hilton Wolman.
This year’s DJ lineup is an international who’s who of talent that includes Egyptian native Adham Gaama, Mexico’s Jesus Montanez, Israeli native Mor Avrahami, New York City’s Dani Brasil as well as Erik Vilar and Allison Nunes — both from Brazil and House of Labs, aka Johnny Labs, a Portuguese DJ and producer.
The Royal Palm South Beach is this year’s host hotel for the pool party that begins at 1 p.m. and ends at 8 p.m. On Sunday, the festival moves to the beach at Lummus Park.
Other venues include Club M2 on Washington Avenue in Miami Beach, LVL One Miami on N.E. 14th St. and MAD Live Miami in the Wynwood Art District.
