Welcome back, West Palm Beach GreenMarket!
No doubt there will be lots of cheers when this popular event returns on Oct. 3 with more than 90 vendors along the waterfront. This season, dubbed Lettuce Shop Safely, the market has been tweaked to meet CDC guidelines with an emphasis on shopping versus socializing.
“Given the challenges faced this year due to COVID-19, this season’s GreenMarket will be particularly meaningful,” says West Palm Beach Mayor Keith A. James in a press release.
“In many ways, it will be the first time we can connect again as a community, of course, with extra safety measures in place.”
While offerings will still be spectacular, expect some changes at the 26th annual market: Merchant tents will be placed 10 feet apart; masks will be required; hand-sanitizing and hand-washing stations will be placed throughout the venue; food samples, live music and kids activities are suspended; and bottomless mimosas won’t be offered. (Bummer, we know.)
However, more than 10 new vendors are joining the fun, including Annie’s Pastry Shop, Coco Fine Foods, Daniela’s Kitchen, Devil’s Breath Hot Sauce/Angel Wings Dressings, European Chimney Cake, L & M Bakery, Meraki Juice Kitchen, Pure Gold Kombucha and Zipitios.
