South Floridians can now travel nonstop from Miami to Paris on French bee.
The low-cost carrier, which launched in the U.S. market with San Francisco International Airport to Paris and Tahiti in 2018, started its Florida route in December. Within the last 18 months, French bee began two Paris routes from Los Angeles International and Newark Liberty International airports.
The airline operates out of MIA to Paris-Orly Airport three times a week on Monday, Thursday and Saturday and will be expanding it to four times a week starting in April. The 4,586-mile flight is onboard one of the six ultramodern Airbus airplanes it operates. The A350-900 aircraft, which flies out of Miami, holds 411 passengers in two classes. There are 35 Premium and 376 Eco Blue seats. The premium seats offer more room, recline a few inches further back and have leg and footrests. The TV screens onboard allow passengers to view take-off and landings from cameras placed outside the plane.
The airline offers à la carte service with three ticket options: Basic, which is the lowest-priced option and allows one 26-pound carry-on; Smart, which is the Basic plan plus one 50-pound checked bag and an in-flight meal; and Premium, which is the Smart plan, plus an additional 50-pound checked bag, a premium meal, complimentary beverage, premium cabin seat choice, line jump, priority boarding and priority luggage delivery. Flight attendants are outfitted stylishly in black pantsuits, denim shirts and for the women, scarves.
“Paris remains one of the most desired international destinations in the world for South Floridians and with the continued growth that Miami is witnessing, we are confident that this is the best market for our first Southeast route. We are excited about this expansion as we know that passengers will find value in booking competitive prices in the market,” says French bee President Marc Rochet. “With the access that the new Miami service provides, we expect it to generate high demand, forging more economic and tourism ties between both cities.”
In addition to the ticket options, French bee travelers can purchase 20 other services such as: à la carte meals that include vegetarian and kosher options; access to the lounge; a travel kit that includes a blanket, socks, a neck pillow, eye mask and headphones; and for those who need to stretch out, maxi leg seats.
The airline also offers discounted packages with SNCF [the French national railway operator] that combine air and train fare into one fare to explore various destinations across France.
