From Oct. 17-20, Daytona Beach streets will be overtaken by hogs, choppers, baggers and other two- and four-wheel motorcycles as the city rolls out the red carpet for Biketoberfest.
It’s considered the “little brother” to the Daytona Beach Bike Week event that takes place in the spring.
The four-day event was launched 32 years ago by the Daytona Beach Area Convention and Visitors Bureau. Every year, the event has grown bigger, with more than 50,000 people attending each day. There will be tattoos and durags as far as the eye can see.
Bikers cruise along miles of scenic roads, including A1A, historic Main Street and the Scenic Loop. There are plenty of nearby places to check out, including Ormond Beach, New Smyrna Beach and the Ponce de Leon Inlet Lighthouse. The historic city of St. Augustine is just a
20-minute drive away.
There are also a variety of state parks where you can ride, including Tomoka State Park and DeLeon Springs State Park.
Motorcycle enthusiasts and onlookers can enjoy live music, food, vendors, contests, games and, of course, motorcycle racing at the Daytona International Speedway (the official welcoming center).
Don’t have a bike? That’s okay, you can rent one.
