Hey foodies, it’s that time of the year again! The 23rd annual Miami Spice Restaurant Months program is back Aug. 1 through Sept. 30, offering a chance to indulge in three-course, prix-fixe menus at some of the most popular restaurants in the Magic City.
Prices range from $30 to $35 for lunch and $45 to $60 for dinner. Tax, tips and drinks are not included.
The event began after 9/11 when the Greater Miami & Miami Beach Convention and Visitors Bureau (GMCVB) was looking for ways to boost tourism. Veteran restaurateur Steven Haas is credited with coming up with the idea. These days it draws locals and tourists alike.
Today, over 200 restaurants are participating, such as the iconic Joe’s Stone Crab and The Capital Grille, along with relative newcomers. Some are fancy and others are cozy neighborhood hideaways. The menus are just as varied — seafood, steak, pasta, sushi, ceviche — the list goes on and on. And with Miami’s culinary landscape considered one of the hottest in the country, it’s a deal too delicious to miss.
