Wang Chung
Do you miss the 80s with its padded shoulders, acid-washed jeans and hair teased to its limits?
If you’re one of those still blasting hits from that time, you’ll be happy to hear that the longest running 80s retro tour of its kind — “Lost 80s Live” — is coming to the Pompano Beach Amphitheater Sept. 9.
If you are a Gen Xer, then you know the 80s featured electronic dance music and new wave, leaving 70s disco in its wake.
The Sept. 9 lineup includes some of the most memorable musicians of the era with original performers as well as some new members. However, these are not tribute bands. A Flock of Seagulls, Wang Chung, The English Beat, Naked Eyes, Missing Persons, Stacey Q and Musical Youth are among those slated for Pompano, though the website warns artists can change.
This is the 20th anniversary tour and a rare chance to travel down memory lane with some of the performers you know and love in one night and on one stage.
Other tours have and will include artists such as Dramarama, Tommy Tutone, Animotion, Josie Cotton and Trans-X
